She stayed dead...I thought the rest of the first cour was alright, and the final fight in particular was a highlight, though I think most would agree that the first half felt a bit lackluster.

Honestly nice to see this show back. It wasn't really anything spectacular in the first part, but I found it to be better than most people gave it credit for.
